Port Configuration on T2000 with Solaris 10

Ports can be bound to an IP. But, it is application dependent if the feature has been implemented. I know that Oracle Listener, while the config file implies that it associates ports to IP address, does not bind at the IP level, only at the host level. If the Oracle web server is based upon the Apache web server, it is a matter of changing the "Port" statement to a "Listen" statement. The syntax of the two statements differs slightly.

It is not customary for two different NIC to be on the same subnet unless NIC aggregation or failover is being deployed. It is more common to use subinterfaces.

Please make sure to read http://www.sun.com/servers/coolthreads/tnb/parameters.jsp , as it contains performance related notes on the T2000.
